Produmax’s latest 5 Axis milling technology totalling £750K are on display at MACH 2018.

The event showcases the UK’s leading engineering-based technology to manufacturers and engineers and the two brand new machines recently acquired by Produmax take pride of place on the NCMT OKUMA and DMG Mori stands throughout the show.

The OKUMA GENOS M460V-5AX uses a hypoid gear drive and features trunnion construction that offers exceptional accuracy, rigidity and table rotation speed. The spindle produces less vibration and power loss at the tool tip for outstanding surface finishes and metal removal rates.

This machine will be used to prove out parts within our New Product Introduction cell.  As well as the features above, it’s ability to handle hard metals is outstanding.

The DMG DMU50U 3rd GENERATION is fixed with an automatic 10 pallet changing system to help drive automated productivity in line with our mission to increase sales to £10m by 2020.  The rapid traverses and swivel speed guarantee dynamic machining and up to 30 % shorter cutting cycles.

Both pieces of kit are due for installation at our Yorkshire based Baildon site when the show closes mid-April.

Produmax’s expertise and state of the art additions embrace the shift in technology towards a more digitised, automated model of manufacturing.
